About Kate
When I was little I would say I wanted to be an "adventurer" when I grew up. Since there is no strict definition for what that means, I can successfully claim that I am one! I am an explorer, a dreamer, a traveler, an engineer, an athlete, a maker, and a person who generally tries to live life to its fullest every day.
Officially I am a Space Systems Engineer. I play competitive Ultimate Frisbee and sometimes coach too. I sail, I fly, I swim. I love space. And Star Wars. I play board games, I read, I watch musicals. I am an introverted extrovert or an extroverted introvert, depending on who I am around. I am an unabated optimist. I always try to get the window seat because that is my favorite place to contemplate the meaning of life and our place in the universe. |
What does the site name mean?"Sailing for Tomorrow" is a line from my favorite song, Southern Cross, by CSNY. That song is full of meaning for me about life, love, exploring, longing, and amazement. I will never forget when I saw the Southern Cross for the first time. Plus I like to sail.
